WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and other similar apps are great tools for communicating with friends/family as an alternative to traditional texting. However, whether it be because you don't want to force all the people you know to download a new app or something else, good-old SMS is still hard to beat.
The Play Store has long been filled with a large assortment of various texting apps that try to deliver a better experience than what your phone offers out of the box, and with so many to choose from, we like to occasionally check in with our forum members to see what they're using.
