Skyworld, the hugely popular Oculus Rift strategy game, is headed to PlayStation VR

Few VR strategy games immerse you in quite the same way as Skyworld. This is an interactive tabletop strategy game where you place towers, build troops, and conquer the opponent on the other side of the table. But the best news is that person opposite you is an actual real person thanks to online PVP matchmaking. Skyworld has proven tremendously popular on Oculus Rift and HTC Vive because of how it makes you really feel like you're controlling a unique tabletop world, and early next year the folks at Vertigo Games are bringing that whole experience to PlayStation VR.

Where many know Vertigo Games for it's VR shooter, Arizona Sunshine, the people who know about Skyworld are obsessed with it. This experience it wholly unique in the gaming world, adding elements from traditional tabletop games with a virtual immersion that can't be matched. You start off with a gauntlet on your wrist with plenty of options for deploying troops and sending everyone to battle when you think you have a sufficient force. Online gameplay is a huge component to this experience, but there's also a compelling single player mission group which does a great job getting you comfortable with all the different troop types and gives you some background into this world.

We don't have a firm release date for this title yet, but Vertigo says to expect the PlayStation VR debut of this game early 2019, so get ready to have some fun!
