Ring announces the Door View Cam, its latest video doorbell that mounts right to your door

Not all living situations allow for a Ring Video Doorbell to be installed at the front door, but the company hopes to change that with its latest announcement. The Ring Door View Cam is the company's fifth video doorbell, and it's easily installed in place of your existing door viewer (aka the peephole), which is often found on doors in apartments and condos. Installation doesn't require running any wires or drilling any holes, and it can be completed in just a few minutes.

It has a rechargeable battery and removable faceplate, so it's easy to swap in a new battery when yours begins running low. You'll get the same security features from this that you would from other Ring products, like customizable motion detection and alerts, privacy zones, two-way communication, night vision, and more. Ring's products now integrate with Amazon's Alexa, so you'll be able to use your Echo Show, Spot, Fire Tablet, or Fire TV to view who's at your door with just a simple voice command.

The Door View Cam will be officially available in the U.S. later this year for $199, and Ring also plans to bring it to the UK, Germany, France, Netherlands, Norway, Belgium, Spain, Sweeden, Denmark, and Finland as well.
