Best answer: Final Fantasy 7 is the only PlayStation Classic game available on the PS4, so you won't be able to play any of the other titles without owning a different console.

There is only one game available

Final Fantasy 7 is the only PlayStation Classic game also available on the PS4. You can download it via the PlayStation Store to get the original feel of the legendary JRPG, though if you prefer modern graphics and gameplay over nostalgia you might be better off checking out the Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

Sony offers hundreds of PlayStation One games through the PlayStation Store that you can play on your PS3, PlayStation Portable, or PlayStation Vita. If you don't already have one of those older consoles and still want to play some old school games, you might just want to pick up the perfect tool for the job.

An affordable bundle

Now that the PlayStation Classic has been significantly reduced in price from its $100 launch cost, it's a much better proposition. The bundle comes with 20 preinstalled games including Final Fantasy 7, Grand Theft Auto, Metal Gear Solid, and Resident Evil Director's Cut. You'll be able to experience the history of some of gaming's biggest franchises with a console that's 45% smaller than the 1994 original.

The PlayStation Classic comes with two wired controllers with the same button layout found on the first PlayStation system. You can connect it to your TV with an included HDMI cable and save your games with a virtual memory card. It's most of the fun of the original system without the hassle.

The PlayStation Classic is hackable

It's incredibly easy to hack new games onto the PlaySation Classic. All it takes is a USB thumb drive and about 20 minutes of your time you'll be able to play other retro games on the console without messing with its original setup. You can even undo region locking to play games from Japan or Europe. Head over to our hacking guides for all the details you need.
