Verizon awakens the Force with Star Wars-themed Google Cardboard viewers

Verizon has a special treat in store for virtual reality-loving Star Wars fans. Starting tomorrow, December 2, the carrier will be hopping on the Star Wars: The Force Awakens hype train by offering some appropriately themed Google Cardboard viewers in its stores. In all, there are four viewers available, featuring BB-8, R2-D2, Kylo Ren, and Stormtrooper themes, respectively.

Though it seems like the Star Wars hype has seeped into every facet of life as we gear up for The Force Awakens on December 18, these designs actually look really cool and are worth a gander. Unfortunately (or fortunately for Verizon customers), the Star Wars Cardboard viewers are only available to Verizon customers, and they'll only be available in stores.

Still, if you're a diehard fan of the franchise and are looking to get into the VR fun, you can grab one starting tomorrow, December 2 in Verizon stores while supplies last. The cardboard viewers are actually free to Verizon customers, but limited to one per customer.
