ZTE NX507J passes certification in China, is this the ZTE Nubia Z7 Mini?

Numerous smartphones have received the "mini" treatment, where a smaller version of the handset is also released to the public, and ZTE could well be adding another with a ZTE Nubia Z7 Mini. The mysterious ZTE handset has passed Chinese certification with the codename NX507J, which is pretty similar to the NX505J, believed to be the 5.5-inch Nubia Z7. The NX507J has a 5-inch display with a 1080p resolution, something that may attract consumers who don't enjoy the "phablet" experience.

As well as the smaller screen, there's also a 2GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable through MicroSD cards. According to the certification report over on Tenaa, the NX507J has an 8MP rear camera (with 5MP front-facing shooter to boot), as well as the usual WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS and GPRS capabilities. It doesn't sound like a bad device. Android 4.4.2 KitKat will be powering the smartphone, which will not be a China Mobile exclusive.

Could we be looking at the Nubia Z7 Mini from ZTE and would you be interested in such a device?
